Welcome to the 1471 Horwich Squadron History Web Site.

My name is K.Yates and I would like YOU to take part, with me, in making this History Web Site the precursor for other Squadrons, and the BEST in the UK.

These pages try to re-capture both the SQUADRON & YOUR HISTORY.
To do this I need YOUR HELP.
This can be in the form of ideas, data, photos or just your memories.
You send it and leave the rest to me.

1471 Horwich Squadron ATC is one of the first to have it's own History Site.
I hope this may encourage other Squadrons in every Wing to develop their own History Site as Officers, Cadets and Civilian Staff of these Squadrons have been, and still are, for the youth of this country, the backbone of many of the Communities across the UK.
Contact K.Yates, by Email, sign the Guest book, by clicking on the link on the left.

These Web Pages are dedicated to the ex Officers, Cadets and Civilian Instructors and members of the Civilian Committee who formed 1471 Squadron in 1941 and kept it going throughout the War years and until 1995.
