Right: The Scottish Aviation Bulldog began to replace the
de Havilland Chipmunk as the RAF’s ab initio trainer for pilots
in 1973. It is a sturdy piston-engined aircraft with two seats, used
for teaching the full rang of aerobatics, instrument flying and cross-
country navigation.The trainer remains in RAF service.

School at Scampton in Lincolnshire.
